China is expanding its farmland in an effort to reduce dependency on foreign food imports. In the city of Chengdu, China has forced the closure of multiple businesses so it can cultivate 7,600 hectares of land for agriculture.
Analyst Comment: This is preparation for World War. Right now the biggest disincentive for World War is the interconnected supply chains between the West and China. Continued decoupling by both parties removes this barrier and significantly increases the chances of World War 3.
