Mask mandates are coming back as we head into fall. Rutgers has maintained its mask mandate while Moris Brown College is restarting theirs. Production studio Lionsgate is restarting mandatory masking as are some hospitals in New York.
Meanwhile the corporate press is pushing for masking over the new EG.5 Covid variant.
Analyst Comment: There is wider speculation that lockdowns will be re-instated later this year, but sourcing is unreliable. At this point, that seems unlikely. However, we may see a half-hearted fear and masking campaign as we head into the elections. It would provide a great excuse for mass mail-in voting.
