“Department of Defense (DoD) announced that they are giving more support to help Ukraine with its security and defense requirements. This marks the 45th time the Biden Administration is giving equipment from the DoD’s inventories to Ukraine since August 2021. This support package contains additional air defense and artillery munitions, mine clearing equipment, medical vehicles, and other equipment to assist Ukraine in fighting back against Russia’s aggressive warfare on the battlefield and keeping its citizens safe.

The capabilities in this package, valued at up to $250 million, include:

+ AIM-9M missiles for air defense;

+ Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);

+ 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds;

+ Mine clearing equipment;

+ Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles;

+ Javelin and other anti-armor systems and rockets;

+ Hydra-70 Rockets;

+ Over 3 million rounds of small arms ammunition;

+ Armored medical treatment vehicles and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) ambulances;

+ Demolitions munitions for obstacle clearing; and

+ Spare parts, maintenance, and other field equipment.”
