“President Joseph R. Biden of the United States of America and President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea (ROK) met on this 26th day of April, 2023 to mark the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK Alliance.”
During the meeting it was affirmed that South Korea will not pursue the development of their own nuclear arsenal and instead the US will provide nuclear deterrents if necessary in consultation with South Korea.
